  • Dark Wolf Hanzo: Hanzo takes on pale-blue skin and red eyes for this twist on his Lone Wolf and Okami skins.
  • Of course, now that we’re halfway through May, Volume 2 of the Anniversary Remix has started, and with it, new skins! Here are all of Overwatch’s Remixed skins for Volume 2 of the Anniversary event: Like Ana’s Bastet skin, this one premiered alongside a short story: What You Left Behind.Īll the Remixed skins for Overwatch’s Anniversary Remix Vol.
  • Combat Medic Baptiste: Last but not least for Volume 1 weekly challenges, we have the Baptiste skin that premiered as part of Baptiste’s Reunion Challenge back in June of 2019.
  • Again, doesn’t seem like Twitch-related sprays are on the table.
  • Bastet Ana: This one originally premiered a little over three years ago in January 2019, alongside the release of her short story, Bastet.
  • I hadn’t quite gotten the hang of weekly challenges when this first landed, and I’m always happy to see old “vault”-ish skins return. While it sounds like the streamer-specific sprays won’t be re-releasing, I’m still happy to see this return.
  • Nano Cola D.Va: Originally available as part of the D.Va’s Nano Cola Challenge from all the way back in 2018 when her cinematic released at gamescom.
  • In addition to the above, Blizzard briefly brought back the following weekly-challenge skins (along with their associated spray/icon rewards), though they were only available during Vol. Again, as much as I love purple, this skin might be the one to finally get me to switch off the Cultist variant.
  • Zealot Zenyatta: The other side of the Cultist Zenyatta coin, another skin normally only available during Halloween Terror.
  • Along with Sentai Genji, this skin feels right at home with (ironically) the away variant of the Houston Outlaws skins.

Steelhardt Reinhardt: The second Remix skin to technically be the third overall in a series is the steely-white take on Blackhardt and Bloodhardt. As much as I love purple, it’s hard to deny the appeal of the contrast created between the white jacket(?) and black feathers. This is Remixed version of Reaper’s iconic purple Nevermore skin (and, by extension, the Plague Doctor skin). Evermore Reaper: Quoth the white raven, “Evermore”… or something.

Mage Mercy: This is a take on Witch Mercy - normally exclusive to Halloween Terror - which means I’m probably going to always call her White Witch Mercy when I use this skin. The original Oni Genji appeared as part of the Heroes of the Storm crossover, though it later became available in everyday Loot Boxes. Demon Genji: While both may technically be considered demons, the only one with the official title goes to the Remixed version of Oni Genji.Frankly, this is a win for cat lovers everywhere. White Cat D.Va: Leading the charge, so to speak, is a new variant of Black Cat D.Va (which was added alongside Blizzard World in 2018).1 ran from April 5-26, you’re still able to earn the Remixed skins during Volumes 2 and 3 of the event. So which skins, exactly, are being remixed, and how do they rate on the Coolness Scale™? And (arguably) more importantly, is this a good strategy for keeping events exciting and fun?Īll the Remixed skins for Overwatch’s Anniversary Remix Vol. Of course, at the end of the day, a big part of this is being done in the name of allocating more resources to the upcoming Overwatch 2 PVP beta. At the moment, the three-part Anniversary event will occur in place of what are normally Archives (now), the standard Anniversary (early May), and Summer Games (July/August), though likely without the long break in between those last two. These spins on classic holidays are part of a “three-part anniversary event” and will be aptly named “Remix” events. Namely, rather than getting the usual round of brand-new skins and event-specific Brawls, we’ll be getting recolored versions of some fan-favorite Legendary skins, the return of a few weekly-challenge skins, and rotating Brawls from across all standard events.

In an unexpected twist of fate, Overwatch’s next few holiday events will be taking on a slightly different format than in the past.
